Venture into commercial farming -Kitagwenda residents advised
The LC3 chairperson Kitagwenda town council, Kitagwenda district Patrick Turyamureba alias PAYI has rallied residents to venture into commercial farming to curb poverty and create more jobs.
He says it should be abominable for the people in the country to be engaging in subsistence farming to date; an area he says doesn’t address poverty and unemployment.
He made the remarks during an exclusive interview with our reporter on implementation strategies to promote Development in Kitagwenda.
He outlined commercial farming and discouraged people from further engaging in subsistence farming that doesn’t address poverty and create employment.
He gave an example where there is high demand of food and the supply is low, an opportunity they can utilize.
