Ibanda district local government has laid the 2023/2024 budget estimates of 29.8 billion.

John Tushemereirwe Kapimpi the secretary for finance, planning and administration laid the budget estimates during a council session at the district headquarters on Monday, indicating a minimal decrease compared to the current financial year. He attributed the decrease to the current inflation in the country.

Kapimpi added that the budget will be funded through local revenue collections, donor funds, and central government transfers.

Speaking during the council, Elias Tumuboine the district vice chairperson asked the district to offer land for constructing offices of the RDC and related departments which he referred to responsible departments for making a report and submit in the next council.
