 KITAGWENDA TOWN COUNCIL MAYOR DONATES 600 SOLAR PANELS TO VULNERABLE PEOPLE

Kitagwenda town council Mayor, Patrick Turyamureeba Payi in partnership with ACTON-Uganda limited and Mouco company limited has today donated six hundred solar systems to the vulnerable people in Kitagwenda town council, Kitagwenda.

Kevin Kayambi from ACTON-Uganda limited said that this is a government program being implemented on behalf of the government to help the needy and also conserve the environment. According to Kayambi, government of Uganda pays 50% with beneficiaries meeting the other halfway.

Arthur Kwizera Aharimpisya from MOUCO company limited said that they chose to give solar system of three bulbs since their beneficiaries are expected to have small houses.

Patrick Turyamureeba Payi hailed implementing partners for thinking about his people of Kitagwenda town council, especially the needy.

Solar panels were given to people from 40 villages in Kitagwenda town council with 15 beneficiaries from every village.

Kitagwenda district LCV NRM flag bearer, Ephrance Kenyonyozi hailed Payi for lobbying for his people and implored all beneficiaries and other people to rally behind Patrick Turyamureeba Payi to further development.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Kitagwenda Assistant RDC, Phillip Nabasa hailed Patrick Turyamureeba Payi together with partners for the initiative aimed at improving people’s lives.
