Over 30 million shillings raised during Payi’s thanksgiving

Around 30 million shillings has today been collected during the thanksgiving for Patrick Turyamureba alias Payi the LC3 chairperson Kitagwenda town council at Kiryanga church of Uganda parish-Kichwamba archdeaconry.
The thanksgiving was aimed at raising funds for the construction of a new parish church.
Addressing the congregation, the Bishop East Rwenzori diocese rt. rev. George K Turyasingura has warned clergy and laypeople against deceptive, unverified cultic religious sects.
The prelate noted that these groups exploit vulnerable individuals through false doctrines and manipulation, straying from foundational scriptures and established church traditions.
He commended Patrick for his exceptional generosity to both community and the church which will earn him blessings from God.
Hon. Dorothy Nyakato the women member of parliament Kitagwenda commended Patrick for his initiatives aimed at fostering development both in community and the church.
In his speech hon. Patrick Turyamureba who is a member of the synod, said he decided to hold thanksgiving due to God’s mercy that raised him from a humble background.
