TEN ARRESTED IN KABALE OPERATION

Ten people were arrested during an intelligence-led operation that was carried out last night by the Kabale Cps headed by IP Twesigye Davis the OC operation.
According to the Kigezi region police spokesperson ASP Elly Maate, these are suspected wrong characters because they were got during the wee hours of the night from different places within Kabale municipality and were looked at as a security threat that terrorises the area since they could not give proper account for their movement and others were in possession and smoking opium.
Maate identified the suspects as Dickens Agumenitwe, Nicholas Shabahurira, Fahadi Magoba, Patrick Kashenya, Micah Tuyishabe, Amon Turinawe, Ronald Tumukunde, Wilber Arinitwe, Gidion Ampeire and, Brandin Mutoniwase.
He explained that these same operations will continue within the township to minimize complaints associated with way laying travellers, snatching of bags, burglary and thefts to mention but a few.
Upon completion of inquiries against them, they will accordingly be taken before courts of law to answer charges of smoking and being in possession of opium plus public nuisance.
