KITAGWENDA SECONDARY SCHOOLS RECEIVE NEW LOWER CURRICULUM TEXTBOOKS.
In a significant stride to enhance education in Kitagwenda District, 25 secondary schools both government-aided and private have received new lower curriculum textbooks to improve teaching and learning.
This milestone was achieved through the lobbying efforts of the District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Dorothy Nyakato Nzibonera, from the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Speaking during the handover event at the district headquarters yesterday, Hon. Nzibonera highlighted the urgent need for these resources.
The District Education Officer (DEO), Sedas Asiimwe, welcomed the intervention, noting its significance in supporting the new curriculum implementation.
Kitagwenda Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), JoanitaNakityo, lauded the initiative for fostering collaboration between government and private institutions. She emphasized the importance of maintaining the books, urging head teachers to safeguard them for the benefit of all learners.
Head teachers expressed their gratitude to Hon. Nzibonera, praising her dedication to improving education in the district.
