Kichwamba Senior Secondary School in Kitagwenda town council, Kitagwenda district on Friday held a town cleaning exercise as one way to promote proper disposal of wastes and keeping the environment clean.

According to Kichwamba secondary school head teacher, Beatrice Tushemereirwe, the cleaning  exercise  kick-started at Kangoora CoU, Kichwamba Catholic parish, Kichwamba health centre III, Ntara Catholic church, Ntara health centre IV and Kitagwenda district headquarters and among other places. She said they got clearance from the town council authorities in order to do this activity.

Kichwamba SSS chairman board of governors, Richard Nuwamanya said that they decided to open preparations for the fundraising slated on April 15, 2023 by cleaning the town in order to ensure a clean environment. He said the fundraising is intended to collect funds for the construction of staff quarters.

Meanwhile, Kichwamba SSS parents Teachers Association –PTA chairman, John Baptist Byamukama, urged parents and well-wishers in the entire district to cooperate and attend the fundraising to raise funds and get the work done.
