Kazo PDM sacco leaders warned against extortion of beneficiaries
Leaders in Kazo district have warned officials implementing the Parish Development Model -PDM against extortion.
The leaders issued the warning yesterday during the PDM monitoring exercise held in Rwamuyeye cell kabarungi ward kazo town council.
The Kazo district chairperson rev.Samuel Mugisha Katugunda said such officials will be arrested and charged over extorting money for a free government program.
Justus Mugarura the LC3 chairperson Kazo town council said that PDM funds are meant to improve household income for the common person and therefore should be offered at no cost.
However Edward Mugasira one of the PDM beneficiaries in the area gave testimony on the benefits of PDM funds he got.
