WOMEN GROUPS URGED TO PAY GOVERNMENT FUNDS

Women groups in ibanda district that benefited from different government programs have been reminded to always pay in time to enable others to benefit.

According to Mr. Alex Muhimbisa the Ibanda district senior development officer in charge of gender, culture and community development, all the government programs are revolving funds.

Muhimbisa explained that these programs were introduced to promote gender equality and when groups pay in time, enables other groups to benefit.

He added that most of the women groups have changed their project which has affected their payment schedules.

Muhimbisa urged women to always form groups so as to access government programs.
