Southwestern Uganda Journalists, influencers, tiktokers and bloggers to mobilize for President Museveni

Journalists, influencers, tiktokers and bloggers from eighteen districts of southwestern region have committed themselves to support President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in order to protect the gains.

Led by their coordinator Santurina Namanya Kakyene, they made commitment yesterday Sunday during a meeting in Rwahi-Ntungamo district with the Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture, Peace Rugambwa, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Boona Bagaigahare Nyekundire Group in the Ankole and Kigezi sub regions.

Kakyene asked Journalists to support President Museveni to benefit from the government.

“If you don’t have something chasing you, it means you don’t have value, let us support president Museveni and protect the gains” Kakyene explained

Peace Rugambwa appealed to the group to support and mobilize for president Museveni ahead of 2026 general elections.

“My office belongs to you, let us mobilize for president Museveni, I will talk to him to support you because I don’t want to give you fish, you will be given nets and taught on how to catch fish” she added.

Rugambwa also urged journalists and other social media handlers to use this chance and fight poverty.

“I will put 200 million Uganda shillings in your Sacco in order to fight poverty” Rugambwa narrated.
