MAHYORO TOWN COUNCIL LAUNCH ANNUAL REWARDS TO BOOST ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

Mahyoro town council leadership in Kitagwenda district has launched an initiative to reward the best-performing pupils in the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).

The first edition of the program took place at Mahyoro town council head quarters, where 12 top pupils were honored with essential items such as mattresses, and suit cases. 

The initiative, spearheaded by LC III Chairperson John Vincent Bimbona, is set to become an annual tradition aimed at motivating pupils and bridging the academic performance gap in the area.

Bimbona emphasized that the sub-county leadership is committed to improving education and ensuring that pupils in the area receive the support they need to excel. 

He added that the initiative will further be extended to head teachers and teachers whose schools perform better.
