Kitagwenda residents ask assistant RDC to stand for LCV

A cross section of stakeholders from, Kitagwenda district have asked the assistant RDC Kitagwenda Ephrance Kenyonyozi Atwongyere to stand on the LCV seat in the forthcoming elections.
Kenyonyozi who lost to hon. Dorothy Nyakato Nzibonera in the 2021 elections was appointed the assistant RDC in the recent past reshuffle of the RDCs in the country.
Despite the position, there has been several call for her to stand on the LCV seat with the hope that she could settle the growing scandals at the district.
Yesterday a section of stakeholders including residents and local leaders organized an abrupt meeting in Kagoma cell, Kyotamushana ward, Kitagwenda town council to ask hon. Ephrance stand on the LCV seat.
They said there are many lope holes including corruption, poor service delivery which the current leadership has failed to address.
In response, hon. Ephrance Kenyonyozi Atwongyere who considered their request to stand on the seat said she will at appropriate time announce her candidature.
