IBANDA WOMEN COMEND GOVERNMENT OVER ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

As Uganda prepares to cerebrate women’s day tomorrow 8th march 2025 a cross section women in Ibanda municipality have commended government for empowering them.
Uganda will tomorrow Saturday join the world to commemorate the international women’s day under the theme: “Accelerate Action, which calls for rapid advancements in gender equality”.
The national cerebrations will be held at Bukwiri church of Uganda primary school in Kyankwanzi district.
Speaking to our reporter ahead of the national cerebrations, Jean Asasira who owns jean mini supermarket in Kitwe cell, Kagongo division noted that women are the most empowered economically in Uganda compared to other gender.
Christine Buruhwari a single mother from katooma cell, Kagongo division said that she has been able to raise her children through farming. She is advising women to work hard to be financially independent.
Juliet kyogabirwe who owns a hotel in kyereta cell has urged women to be creative by starting small scale businesses to make their families survive instead of relying only to men.
