The deep gullies have been dangerous for the last 10 years, especially during heavy rains.

Last year the state minister for transport hon. Fred Byamukama visited the drainage channel and promised that the situation would be solved in two weeks time. However update nothing has been done.

According to Apollo Twine Kibeherere the mayor Ibanda municipality, after effort to get support from central government, they have decided to divert local revenue to work on the drainage channel. He added that it will be worked on phases until it is finished.

He added that they have also decided to expand the road network since the town is developing. He asked those who will be affected by road expansion to be patient.
