BACHWEZI CULT GROUP IN IBANDA DISTRICT GIVEN FREEDOM OF WORSHIP IN RWAMANYONYI

The Ibanda district resident commissioner (RDC) Mr. Godfrey Mbetegyereize has allowed the worshippers of Bachwezi cult group to continue using Rwamanyonyi cave after finding out that their activities were not affecting the environment.
This was resolved during the monitoring of environmental degradation in Ibanda municipality yesterday.
RDC together with the Ibanda municipal environment officer, district environment officer, DPC, GISO, agriculture officer, Mayor and other relevant officers visited the Bachwezi shrine of Rwamanyonyi in Bufunda division and found out that the activities done are not affecting the environment.
Mbetegyereize tasked the GISO of Bufunda division to keep on monitoring this Bachwezi shrine such that their activities of worship do not infringe on rights of others and the environment.
Talking to the leader of the Bachwezi cult group in southwestern region, Rugumiriza Tumwine hailed the RDC and team for giving them the right to worship.
