Alliance Vocational School-Ibanda defeats Ibanda University in a football friendly match at Saaza playground.

Goals from Justus Maanigaruhanga christened Maani, Victor Akandwanaho and Chris Kelly Amumpaire sealed a 3-1 victory in a game played at Saaza playground in Ibanda town on Saturday. Sancho scored a penalty as a consolation for Ibanda University.
The win comes few weeks after defeating Kigarama fc 2-1 in another friendly match played at Nyakateete playground.
As the school revives its sports department, administration has embarked on establishing a school football team to participate in several tournaments and friendlies in Ibanda and beyond.
The school sports tutor, Jonnath Kaganzi commended the boys for the second win in a row, adding that more of such friendlies are still coming as the school moves out to improve sports and games.
“We want more of such friendlies since we have support from the administration, the boys are dedicated to improving their game, the reason we keep moving.” Kaganzi said shortly after the game.
The school captain, Justus Maanigaruhanga (NCPL) applauded the school management for the unwavering support to the team to move to greater heights.
“The administration has been so supportive to us as players all the way from the previous guild tournament to date and we are committed to keep pushing.” Maani said after the game.
After the recent game in Nyakateete, the school principal, Kenneth Taremwa said the school is willing to support the school team to showcase and also represent the school far beyond in the region.
Alliance Vocational School-Ibanda has remained a feeder school for different clubs in Ibanda and other football clubs in Western Uganda, including Ibanda Municipal Sports Club, Kaaro Karungi fc, Step Up fc, and Rushango Dynamic fc among others.
