The Kazo district leadership and the Technical staff on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 lunched the Integrated Revenue Administrative System -IRAS to ease the collection of local revenue in the district.

The Kazo district leadership and the Technical staff on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 lunched the Integrated Revenue Administrative System -IRAS to ease the collection of local revenue in the district.

According to Johnson Gumisiriza, the Principal Financial Analyst, Local government Finance Commission, the system will ease the collection of local revenue some of which was misallocated during the manual revenue collection system.
Kazo district senior financial officer, Emmanuel Tembo said that Kazo district is now one of the 134 districts countrywide that have been enrolled on the system.
He additionally said that the system will help to increase the local revenue in the district as all people will be registered on the system for proper revenue collection.
Kazo district vice chairman, Fred Ntugire promised to create awareness among the people of Kazo of how the system operates in order to avoid conveniences.
