Katugunda sounded the warning in a phone interview with our reporter today morning.
He said Kazo districted restricted the crossing of animals from Kiruhura district to Kazo due to the many cases of FMD in Kiruhura as this would help to control the spread of the disease to Kazo and neighboring districts.
He adds that the current ban also applies to exchange of cattle products including milk as he quickly threatened to arrest the victims.
In March this year, Dr. Pacsmario Juderia, the Buremba Town Council veterinary officer said foot and mouth disease was registered at a farm in Bwatama village, Buremba Town Council.
Authorities put the town council under quarantine for all animals and animal products as they embarked on a mass sensitization campaign to the farmers about the disease and vaccination.
