Rwenzorifm Eiraka radio on Tuesday officially flagged off the Ekitaguriro Rwatamigongo 2023.

The annual event is a corporate social responsibility meant to give back to the community.

During the event, the community participates through buying a coupon; the lucky winners are awarded with various gifts at the climax of the event on every September 04th.

While launching the event at big zone gardens and accommodation in Ibanda town, Sam Bolya the organizing committee chairperson said this year’s winners will be awarded with a car as a mega prize with other prizes including, a cow, cash, and flat screens among other prizes.

He added that before the climax, there will be pre-event activations in various districts including football matches, music performances among others.

Joab Barigye the father to Opportunity Abaho who won the motor cycle as a mega prize of the 2022 event, while receiving the motorcycle card commended Rwenzorifm Eiraka radio for fulfilling its promises to the community.

During the launch, Patrick Turyamureba aka PAYI the executive director Rwenzorifm Eiraka radio officially handed over the motorcycle card to the 2022 Ekituguriro winner Opportunity Abaho.

He noted that the event is meant to strengthen ties between the radio and its listeners. He commended the community for the support and promised improved services.
