RESIDENTS WARNED TO STOP DEALING WITH MONEY LENDERS

Residents of Kikyenkye Sub County in Ibanda district have been warned against borrowing money from money lenders who charge them exorbitantly on the expense of Saccos and Banks.

The call was made by Kuuda Moris the Ibanda District Commercial officer while speaking to residents of Kihan at Kihan Tubebamwe Sacco during its Annual General Meeting AGM held at the Sacco premises in kihan village today.

Kuuda further advised area residents to start small projects that will help them to pay back loans.

Dativa Kyogabirwe the Sacco Manager called residents to open accounts in the Saccos, save instead of keeping money under beds.

Beatrice Ketabaro, the Sacco chairperson attributed the Sacco’s failure to grow fast to low membership, and loan defaulting among others.

Kihan Tubebamwe Sacco has a total of 343 members.
