Over 2000 students awarded at 9th graduation of Ibanda University

Over 2000 students have been awarded in different disciplines during the 9th graduation ceremony of Ibanda University.
There was joy at Ibanda University during their 9th graduation ceremony at the main campus that marked the culmination of years of hard work, commitment and dedication.
A total number of 2350 students from all faculties have been awarded in different disciplines of Master’s degree, post graduate diploma, Bachelor’s degree, diploma and certificates.
Prof. James Samson Opolot, the University’s vice Chancellor, asked graduates to respect the skills gained from lecturers.
“Let the skills not stop here, apply them in field for betterment of your future” he narrated
Dr. John Busingye, the chairperson board of directors called upon the academicians to focus on what they have attained and apply it in the field.
“what you have acquired here should not be taken by wind but utilised carefully” Busingye added
Venasias Baryamureeba, the institution’s chancellor, asked graduates to add value on what they have studied wherever they go.
“In education, people graduate to add value to the society not graduating in a piece of paper” he expressed
Addressing the congregation as the chief guest, Hon Dr Chris Baryominsi the Minister for ICT and national guidance encouraged graduates to live a responsible life.
“You are going to serve in the world where jobs are limited, please, especially young girls don’t be deceived by old men at offices to give you jobs in exchange of sex, wee have marked AIDS day this week, don’t become a victim” Baryomunsi advised
