MAYOR’S CUP SET TO KICK OFF IN KITAGWENDA.
The LC3 chairperson Kitagwenda town council Patrick Turyamureba alias PAYI, has unveiled the eagerly anticipated football tournament, which will all the six wards in the town council.
The tournament will showcase six teams representing the six wards of Kitagwenda town council, and will climax on December with finals at Ntara Christian primary school play ground.
The launch ceremony will be held on Thursday December 12th at Ntara Christian play ground.
According to Patrick Turyamureba PAYI, the tournament is aimed at boosting the youth talents, keeping the holiday makers busy and to promote the flag of Kitagwenda.
He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting sports, expressing enthusiasm for their involvement in the tournament. He asked people to support the tournament that would be held annually regardless of their political affiliations.
During the tournament, there will be awarding of medal and relevant gifts to the teams especially the winners and many guests are expected to grace the function.
