Ibanda man remanded to prison over stealing 450,000shs.
The grade one magistrate’s court sitting in Ibanda presided over by her worship Esther Mulungi has sent on remand a 33 year old man identified as Dickson Mugume a resident Kyegwisa cell Bufunda division, Ibanda Municipality to Nyabuhikye government prison over theft.
It is alleged that on April 18th 2024, the suspect stole Ugx450, 000/= from Julius Tumwesigye a resident of the same area.He was arrested on April 20th 2024, and detained at Ibanda central police station for further investigations.
Appearing before court, the suspect denied the charges which prompted the magistrate to remand him to Nyabuhikye government prison until 21st may 2024 when he will re-appear in court for further mentioning.
