Farmers in Kazo district have been advised to protect their animals from diseases if they are to benefit from the animal business.
The call was made by Lee Katashaaya, the operations manager at Freent Agro-Solution Company Limited during a famers’ meeting held at St John’s Church in Kazo yesterday.
The meeting aimed at emphasizing fast and precise solution to boost livestock production.
The Kazo District production officer, JohnBaptist Asiimwe reminded farmers in Kazo that anthrax and Foot and Mouth Disease -FMD still exist in the district, calling for more vigilance among farmers in order to curb down the disease.
Some of the farmers who interacted with our reporter said the workshop was beneficial to them, promising to use the knowledge gained to uplift their farm standards.
