A total of Ugx40M cash and pledges of Ugx20m was on Sunday, April 30, 2023 collected from the thanks giving ceremony of Rev. Fr. Kenneth Baingana Muntu, the parish priest for St. Charles Lwanga Kihani Catholic Parish.

 A total of Ugx40M cash and pledges of Ugx20m was on Sunday, April 30, 2023 collected from the thanks giving ceremony of Rev. Fr. Kenneth Baingana Muntu, the parish priest for St. Charles Lwanga Kihani Catholic Parish.

The function intended to raise funds for the construction of the Christ the King Catholic Church in lgorora on top of thanking God for the gift of priesthood.

Rev. Fr. Kenneth Baingana donated Ugx4m to support the church construction.

Speaking as the chief guest, Hon. Grace Mugasha, the Minister for Public Service discouraged district officials across the country from asking for bribes from job applicants, saying that jobs should be given on merit.

Representing the deputy speaker of Parliament, Hon Thomas Tayebwa, the lbanda south MP Hon Dr. Ninkusima John Paul alias Panadol, presented Ugx5M from the deputy speaker. Panadol donated 100 bags of Cement worth Ugx3.6M in addition to buying offertories worth Ugx2m.

The lbanda woman MP, Hon. Jane Bainomugisha and and the Buhweju County Woman MP Hon. Olive Koyekyenga asked parents to protect their children from engaging in the ungodly evil of homosexuality.

Hon Francis Mwizukye the Buhweju County MP urged believers to educate their children saying that education unites the poor’s sons and daughters with the rich.

The function was also attended by the lbanda district chairman Happy Hebert Mayanja and notable MPs including Hon Rosemary Nyakikongoro of Sheema District, Hon Pauline Kemirembe Kyaka of Lyantonde district, and Hon Julius Tusiime of Rwampara East among others.
