40 people have today received coffee seedlings in Bwera model village Kicheche sub-county in Kitagwenda district courtesy of Emolyne legacy project.

During this coffee seedling giveaway event, the project coordinator Ms. Brenda Nampijja said that today’s beneficiaries are among the ones that failed to take seedlings in October last year.

Nampijja explained that most of the farmers disappointed them since most of the seedlings were abandoned to dry and therefore called upon them to take care of coffee seedlings supplied by this batch.

The director of Emolyne foundation Mr. George William Kigambe called upon farmers to mind about coffee farming such that they can harvest big in near future.

One of the field coordinators of Emolyne legacy project Mr. Frank Atwiine said that farmers whose coffee dried due to nature will be compensated but those who intentionally left it to dry will not be compensated.

While presiding over the coffee seedling giveaway, the chairperson LCIII for Kicheche sub-county Mr. Didrick Mutahigwa Katongore hailed the project director and coordinator for Emolyne legacy project for whatever they are doing to boost household income in Bwera model village.
