The bishop East Rwenzori diocese Rt. Rev. George K Turyasingura has warned Christians against soliciting money from people intending to stand for various political positions.
The prelate sounded the warning over the weekend while laying a foundation stone at St. John Bujumiro church of Uganda, Kanyamburara parish.
He noted that voters should evaluate candidates with their manifestos as a determinant for their vote.
He further asked Christians to fulfill the Lenten requirements including, love, commitment, repentance and sacrifice.
Robert Mugabe, the former LCV chairperson Kitagwenda district asked Christians to choose leaders who will meet their expectations.
