TWO REMANDED IN IBANDA OVER THEFT
Two remanded in Ibanda over theft

The chief Magistrate court sitting in Ibanda presided over by her worship Nantaawo Agness Shelagh yesterday remanded 2 people to Nyabuhikye government prison over theft.
The accused have been identified as 19 year old Brian from Kalangara cell, Mpasha parish, Rukiri sub county Ibanda district and John Tumwine 18 , from Vatican cell, Mabonwa Parish, Rukiri sub county , Ibanda district.
It alleged that on November 2nd, 2025 the accused stole 3 cocks and 2 hens worth 250,000(two hundred fifty thousand shillings) from Innocent Ngabirano, a resident of the same area.
They were later arrested on November 3rd, 2025 and detained at Ibanda police station pending investigation into the matter.
Appearing before the chief Magistrate, the duo pleaded not guilty of the offence and were remanded them to Nyabuhikye government prison until November 18th, 2025 when he will re appear in court for mention.
