Town council lays 400 million draft budget for the 2025-2026 financial year

Ishongororo town council in Ibanda district yesterday laid a draft budget for financial year 2025-2026 worth over 404 million Ugandan shillings.
Speaking to our reporter after the council session, Hassan Mugabe Turyamureba the LC111 chairperson noted that the budget is meant to fulfill the council’s work plans for the 2025-2026 financial year.
He added that the work plans include road maintenance, improve education among other projects which will be implemented once the budget is realized.
He asked councilors to review the draft budget and table the necessary amendments before the next council.
