Three suspected hotel thieves arrested in Mbarara

Police in Mbarara City yesterday evening of the 15/09/2025 arrested Joseph Samba 60, from Busia, Rajab Muhinda 50 from Iganga and Masereka 40 from Kasese in connection to burglaries, breakings & thefts in Hotels & Guest Houses targeting laptops, Phones & other valuables.
According to the Rwizi region police spokesperson SP Samson Kasasira said the three on the night of the 14/09/2025 constructively broke into Guest rooms in Rwampara suits and stole laptops, phones, cash & other valuables.
He explained that they were found in possession of multiple keys used to open different locks that have been exhibited at CPS Mbarara
The three further confess that they have been in this business for more than ten years now.
Inquiries into the matter are still ongoing.
