This was said while at Igorora water station on February 28, 2023, the most recent date which was set for handover of the project.
According to Duncan Kangwagye, the site manager for BLOCK TECHNICAL SERVICES, the company that contracted the project, the project has reached 95% of its progress to completion.
He added that the only work left was to finish the water treatment plant which is expected to be finished in a due period of one month if the government supports with the remaining finances and other relevant support.
Hon. Ninkusiima John Paul who visited the site promised to work hard in collaboration with the ministry of finance to support the contractors with the required facilitation to complete the project.
He assured the beneficiaries that with his support, the project will soon come to its final stage.
Nyabuhikye-Kikyenkye Water supply scheme started in 2017, was launched in 2018 by H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and it is targeting to benefit the people of Igorora, Keihangara, Kikyenkye, Nsasi and Kazo.
