The Ibanda district chief administrative officer, Kweyamba Ruhemba has relieved pressure which was mounted by the Kagongo division councilors concerning the re-allocating of Kashangura health center II equipment to Birongo health center II in Kijongo sub-county in Ibanda North.

The Ibanda district chief administrative officer, Kweyamba Ruhemba has relieved pressure which was mounted by the Kagongo division councilors concerning the re-allocating of Kashangura health center II equipment to Birongo health center II in Kijongo sub-county in Ibanda North.
This health issue has been worrying residents of former Kashangura Sub County since the facility was supposed to be elevated to a health center III but to their worry, the funds and items were re-allocated to Kijongo Sub County.
Godfrey Kamagara, who represents Kagongo division to the district council, has been following the issue until today when the chief administrative officer clarified it.
CAO revealed that his office received a letter dated October 18, 2022 from the office of permanent secretary in ministry of health, Dr. Diana Atwine directing him to re-allocate funds which were meant for Kashangura HCII to Birongo health center II in Kijongo.
Ruhemba says that he could not object the directive, adding that they are planning together with Ibanda municipal administration to see Kashangura health center II elevated to a health center III for the community to benefit.
