Religious leaders in Kazo district have been trained on how they can sensitize Christians about regular testing of diseases.

Yesterday, Kazo district in partnership with the ministry of health met religious leaders and trained them to sensitize Christians about regular testing of diseases like Tuberculosis, Malaria and HIV/AIDS.

This was done during a workshop held at Kazo health centre IV in Kazo town council Kazo district.

According to Mathias Mwesige, the representative from the Ministry of health, most people attend places of worship, hence calling upon religious leaders to always inform them about testing such diseases.

Esther Bule, the acting Kazo district health officer (DHO) says that when religious leaders join them in sensitizing masses, cases of these diseases will reduce.

The Kazo district vice chairman Fred Ntungire hailed the ministry of health for the workshop and called upon participants to spread the gospel.
