ONE PERSON DEAD IN A FATAL KABALE ACCIDENT HEALTH.
One Person has been confirmed dead and another hospitalized following a tragic accident on the Kabale – Mbarara road.
The deceased, has been identified as Akampurira Abias (27), a Boda Boda rider from Kabale district, and the injured as Akantambira Ambrose (45), a businessman, Maziba sub-county, Kabale district.
The tragic incident that occurred yesterday involved a white Toyota Premio with registration number UAZ807L, and a red Bajaj Boxer motorcycle registered as UFL441/S.
The collision took place at Mukatoma cell in Kaharo sub-county along the Kabale-Mbarara road.
According to a statement from the police, the driver of the motor vehicle was traveling from Kabale towards Rukiga and collided with the motorcycle Elly Maate, the Police spokesperson for the Kigezi region, noted that the driver of the car fled on the scene after the accident.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem, while both the motor vehicle and motorcycle towed to Kabale police station for further investigation.
