 MTN UGANDA EXPANDS DIGITAL PUSH WITH NEW ICT LAB IN SHEEMA

MTN Uganda expands digital push with new ICT Lab in Sheema district

MTN Uganda through its MTN foundation has donated ten computers and their accessories worth 60 million shillings to St. John’s Secondary School Nyabwina in Sheema district to enhance research in information technology.

This initiative is part of MTN’s digital access program that comprises a one year free internet connection and backup power systems aimed at improving information and communication technology and empowering young women in scientific studies.

Fazil Damulira the MTN South west regional business manager explained that the donation supports MTN’s ambition 2025 Strategy to drive digital transformation and create a more connected Uganda.

Constantine Byamaka, the school head teacher, hailed MTN for its support towards the School.

The Sheema District Education Officer Evelyn Kenyangi advised the school head teacher to create ample space for the computers.
