As part of charity, Christians from St. Charles Lwanga Bubaare parish in Ibanda district have visited a Fifty-two year-old woman who in October 2024 gave birth to quintuplets.
Efrance Kobusingye, a resident of Nyaruhanda in Kitagwenda District, has given birth to quintuplets after waiting 32 years for a child.
The three girls and two boys were delivered via Caesarean section at Neo Care Clinic in Mbarara City, seven months into her pregnancy. Kobusingye, is married to 62-year-old retired teacher Clesensio Tunanukye, expressed her joy and surprise at delivering five children after many years of uncertainty.
Her husband, Tunanukye, echoed the sentiment, noting that the quintuplets brought immense joy to their long marriage, which began when Kobusingye was 19.
Clesensio who commended members for the surprise visit, said the children who are over 1 year are living well, giving them joy and happiness in the family that the community had looked at as barren and unproductive.
Immaculate Kyohairwe the chairperson St. Jude Thaddeus movement, who led the Christians, said they got concerned and decided to collect assortment of items and money to support the family.
