KITAGWENDA TOWN COUNCIL CHAIRPERSON DONATES SOLAR LIGHTS.
The Mayor for Kitagwenda town council, Patrick Turyamureba Payi has launched another campaign of giving out solar street lights to small trading centers within the town council.
The launch of the second phase was on Friday 29th November 2024 in Ishariro village Kabale ward where he implored residents to use the lights for security purposes pending electricity.
Turyamureeba also promised that the town council will grade the road in the next quarter after receiving road fund.
Lydia Aryatuhwera, one of the ladies heading the evening daily market in Ishariro trading center hailed the mayor for the efforts put to light Kitagwenda.
The area chairperson, Erica Kabandize also expressed gratitude to the mayor for the good job of developing the area.
Other solar street lights will be planted in Ahakiikona trading center in Kyotamushana ward, Omukashushano, Omundigyito among other areas.
