According to the LCV chairperson Ismail Mushemeza, Kitagwenda scored the 107th position with 44 percent in the entire country.
Last year, Kitagwenda district performed poorly by scoring the 152nd position with 17 percent according to the 2021 local government assessment rankings.
While speaking to Rwenzori FM, Mushemeza attributed the improvement to the cooperation among political and technical staff. He is optimistic that the district will improve more in the next assessment.
Isingiro district scored the first position with 89 percent, followed by Kiruhura at 83 percent and then Ibanda which was the third.
