KAZO DISTRICT LOCAL GOVERNMENT LAYS BUDGET OF SHILLINGS 25.15 BILLION FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2025/2026

Kazo district council has laid the budget for financial year 2025/26 worth shs25, 153,626,000.
According to the secretary for finance, Hon Ham Rubainika, the education department will take the lion’s share of shs10, 674,330,000 (42.2%) followed by health at shs4, 712,890,000 (18.7%).
Kazo district chairman, Rev Samuel Mugisha Katugunda asked council members to make bylaws eliminating charcoal burning in the district which he says is the leading cause of the prolonged drought the district.
The District speaker, Dan Nahurira said the 2025/26 financial year will put much emphasis on education and health.
