IBANDA DISTRICT ELECTIONS OFFICER URGES CANDIDATES TO ALWAYS SEEK GUIDANCE BEFORE NOMINATION

The Ibanda District registrar Aida Barekye Nkeija advised candidates to report to the electoral commission offices earlier for cross checking their credentials before they are nominated.
According to electoral commission road map, the nominations for lower local governments will close on 24th September 2025 while nominations for MPs will start on October 15th and end on 16th October 2025.
Aida noted that submitting earlier give the electoral commission time to verify and advise where necessary in case there are mistakes.
She also urged the candidates to follow the electoral commission guidelines during the nomination exercise.
