During a special interview with our reporter, Dr. Sam Ahimbisibwe a health expert at Ibanda comprehensive medical center in Ibanda town warned that excessive consumption of drugs and alcohol causes heart and lung diseases as well as cancer and mental disturbances.

He added that for the school going children, alcohol and drug abuse can lead to memory problems that result in dementia and poor performance.

The doctor advised   those consuming a lot of alcohol and drugs, to go for medical checkup to know their health status before facing long term effects.
