Students in Mahyoro town council, Kitagwenda district have been asked to be humble if they are to achieve their goals.

The call was made by Rev. Fr. Christopher Mwanguhya, the curette Nyakasura Catholic parish while leading a mass to celebrate the 2023 UCE and UACE success at St. Theresa Voc. Secondary School-Mahyoro yesterday.

St. Theresa was the best school in Kitagwenda district in the 2023 UCE and UACE results with the best candidate obtaining 13 aggregates.

Of the 25 candidates who sat for the 2023 UCE exams, 7 were in division one, 7 in division two, 6 in division three and 5 in division four.
In UACE all students passed with points to go for higher institutions of learning.

One of the students, Francis Njunwoha who represented others said cooperation between students, teachers and parents is one of the factors that helped them to excel.

Innocent Kahooza, the school head teacher noted that good cooperation between staff and board members was key to the performance.

Grimbald Atwongyere one of the guests commended the school director, Fr. Fredrick Tusingire for supporting education in Kitagwenda district.
In his remarks, Rev. Fr. Fredrick Tusingire the director St. Theresa voc.ss said the school was started with the aim to shape students holistically.
