shock as Ibanda 20 year old man discovered dead in suspected suicide

A devastating tragedy unfolded in Bufunda 11 cell, Bufunda ward , Bufunda division, Ibanda municipality, when the body of a 20-year-Mathias Rukundo was found lifeless in his rented house.
The Police have registered the incident as a suspected suicide, with investigations still underway.
Rukundo, a worker at one of the electronic shop in Ibanda town and a resident of Igorora town council, was last seen on Sunday evening of October 12th, 2025, when he entered his rented room to sleep.
Yesterday residents in the neighborhood felt a bad scent and thought it could be a dead rat.
However, today morning the scent increased which forced them to mount a search and discovered Rukundo dead.
His body was taken to Ruhoko health center four for a postmortem.
The RDC Ibanda Godfrey Mbetegyerize, who reached the scene, urged the youth to go for counseling services when they get hardships.
Deus Warugaba the deputy mayor Ibanda municipality has advised the youth to be responsible over their actions if they want to be successful.
