The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, has called on Church leaders to uphold servant leadership, integrity, and unity in managing Church affairs, warning against shortcuts and poor conflict management.

Speaking during the official opening of the Church of Uganda’s Governance Retreat for Diocesan Secretaries and Human Resource Officers at Namirembe Guesthouse, Kaziimba emphasised that leaders must support policy formulation and implementation with diligence and emotional intelligence.

He acknowledged the challenges of Church leadership, noting that frustration is inevitable, but urged leaders to adopt godly and constructive responses.

He also warned against unethical practices in planning for retirement, urging Church officers to prepare with transparency and integrity.

Kaziimba further highlighted the importance of managing internal conflicts wisely, adding that emotional intelligence remains central to effective leadership.
