LCIII and parish representatives pick NRM party nomination forms

As Uganda approaches the 2026 general elections, NRM party has continued the process of receiving members who wish to contest for LC III and councilors positions.
In Ibanda district, over 200 people thronged the NRM party offices at Two miles along Ibanda-Mbarara highway to express interest and pick nomination forms.
Adriano Kweyamba the incumbent LC III chairperson for Kagongo division in Ibanda municipality was among those who picked forms and vowed to continue with service delivery.
Some of the candidates for directly elected male councilors, Benard Ndyabagira from Kakiinga ward in Ishongororo town council and Leonard Mpumwire from Irwaniro parish in Kikyenkye sub-county also picked forms and promised to work for their people.
Female aspiring councilors who talked to our reporter, Fibe Twongirwe from Bwenda parish in Rukiri sub-county and Ruth Karungi from Irwaniro parish in Kikyenkye sub-county also promised to deliver services.
